The issue of nursing home abuse first gained the public’s attention almost 50 years ago. Unfortunately, the incidents of nursing home abuse and neglect have continued to increase each year.
There is no doubt that understaffing in nursing homes is a significant issue in Virginia and across the country. Not having enough staff often leads to abuse and neglect of residents.
