Last week, a Durham man died tragically  when a car jack failed and caused the car he was working under to fall  on him. According to Durham Police, the 23 yr  old Diego Esperanza Hernandez was working on the brakes when a 1995  Ford Taurus fell and crushed him when the jacks failed.

As reported by the police the tragic  accident happened in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Juniper  Street located near Durham, North Carolina (N.C.). Hernandez was pronounced  dead at the scene. It wasn’t noted whether there were any witnesses  to the event.

A personal injury may be compensable  if it can be shown that a dangerous or defective product contributed  to the resulting accident. Also, there may be a third party liability  claim as well. A manufacturer, an installer or a maintenance and repair  company could even be liable, allowing an injured person to seek and  obtain an ample compensation claim in the injury, or even death.
