The Honeybaked Ham on Red Banks Road in Greenville was hit by a car last month.  The 84-year-old driver of the car reported that her foot slipped from the brake pedal just before the car accident.  The driver turned the car and hit a steel wall.  That kept damage and injuries at a minimum.

Two people in the restaurant reported minor injuries but didn’t require medical transport, Carson said. Lewis’ condition was unknown Wednesday night.

A nearby car was sideswiped. No charges were filed against Lewis at this time, Carson said.

A window, some restaurant furniture and a corner of the building were damaged when the Mercury hit the building, Carson said.

No one was taken to a hospital for their injuries.  The driver of the car has not been charged with anything.  The accident happened around 11:30 in the morning.
