Monday, April 3, 2006 was a dangerous day on the road.  Every Monday following the conversion back to daylight savings time in the Spring is a heavy day for traffic accidents.  The problem is that everyone is an hour short of sleep and in a rush.  This results in a statistical increase in the number of car wrecks.  I hope you made it through the day okay.

Another dangerous time is to be in the hospital around July 4.  Every year on July 4, all of the senior staff leave the big hospitals.  Only low level employees or people with minimum seniority are left.  This skeletal crew deals with a lot of emergencies.  There is a noted rise in the number of medical errors, which occur at hospitals, during that time frame.  Be safe and stay away from the hospital this July 4th.
