Ashley Campbell, a 21-year-old resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia (VA) was killed in Delaware due to a major car accident involving a tractor trailer. Five people were injured in the accident as well. Investigators report a mechanical failure contributed to the accident, according to The Virginian-Pilot.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Ashley Campbell’s family and friends. It’s never easy losing a loved one.
Campbell was in a van, but reports do not indicate what type of van they were in. Clearly, a thorough investigation of the type of mechanical failure and how it occurred is necessary. It could be a failure that’s common in the particular model of van they were driving.
As an injury lawyer who’s represented clients injured in car accidents involving vans, I understand the need to fully explore what can go wrong in the mechanical area for automobiles.
